TELARAÑA is a project that involves two spheres which are currently undergoing a transformation: art and education. It is a series of artistic training and creation workshops in which participants experiment with different media used in contemporary expression and creation. A person that attends a TELARAÑA workshop comes to create, to bring into being, to produce, to put together, to construct, to make and to learn.

In this third edition, TELARAÑA’s structure revolves around five media associated with artistic production: video, sound, graphics, the body and space. Each medium acts as square one, as a starting point which is eventually mixed with other formats and techniques. They are all part of a single conversation about the world. 14 practical workshops in total include guest groups and members from different disciplines: music, visual arts, theatre, design and electronics.

Time and space are the starting points that will act as coordinates that determine the framework for action, in an exaltation of the “here and now”. TELARAÑA revolves around our current needs as a community and places priority on the diverse range of art-based methods which are in turn ways of investigating, ways of thinking. Within a nonformal education framework, TELARAÑA provides an opportunity for training that explores the tensions between art and education based on experience, production and action. TELARAÑA 2023 will be held from February to November, with two different workshops taking place each month. The workshops are free of charge and up to 15 participants will be selected for each one.
