8.000 años después (8,000 Years Later ) was inspired by a desire to explore the beginnings of agriculture as a turning point which –allegedly– defined the course of human history; to turn prehistory into science fiction, speculating and questioning some uncertain linear reconstructions which assume that the sedentism that resulted from this agriculture was a pre-condition for the development of culture.

Nyamnyam is a platform created in 2012 by the artists Iñaki Alvarez (Vic, 1975) and Ariadna Rodríguez (Barcelona, 1980). By bringing together their training and professional deformations in several disciplines, they aim to promote creation, reflection, the exchange of knowledge and culture through a range of participation and interaction strategies with the objective of generating a dialogue. They use dynamics and tools from artistic creation to propose interventions that are set in each local context in which they work. At this junction between living arts, thought, pedagogy, social interaction and food, they give rise to situations to lend dynamism, activate and recover forms of contact and relations. Their projects have been carried out and shared in Spain, Portugal, France, Italy,
Switzerland, Norway, the U.S. and Colombia.

In collaboration with Javier Cruz.
