L’antica prattica ridotta alla moderna música is the project that VANG III has chosen in this its first call for proposals for the creation of a new work based on a joint work between a consolidated ensemble and a composer. It is based, as they themselves tell us, “on the incorporation of instruments from ancient music (the shawm, the Baroque trumpet, the viola da gamba and the keyboard) into the scope of the current composition, as well as on the expansion of the repertoire and sound experimentation with extended techniques of these instruments”. The programme is structured around works and lighting work that follow the two lines of action proposed in this cycle: objects and memory.
